
The United States industry rebounded in January but with one exception Toyota. The company lost around 20 000 sales in only one month after it stopped to sell eight models because there is a problem with the gas pedal. The Toyota sales slipped 16 percent and it could be more if they stop to sell their car in February. It was the first time that Toyota's monthly U.S sales fell bellow 100 000 vehicles. With the problem of Toyotathe top selling car in the US last month the Toyota Camry is now at the fifth rank in car sales. Toyota recalled eight models including the Camry because the accelerator could stick and cause a crash. In USA, this is 2,3 millions of vehicles in the recall they include Corolla and Avalon cars, the Matrix hatchback, the Tundra pickup, the Sequoia SUV and the RAV4 and Highlander.
